Hello, I am Mati, a counsellor and psychotherapist offering multilingual services in London and online.
I am an accredited member of BACP, member of Association of Christians in Counselling, and a Certified Canadian Counsellor.
I combine my counselling and conflict resolution background with my lived experience in Hong Kong, Canada, Scotland, and England to help my clients build strategies towards a more enriching and authentic life.
I have worked with youths and families since 2001 as a behavioural interventionist, Canadian school youth worker, Scottish youth and adult counsellor, and now as a counsellor and psychotherapist in central London.

I provide integrative person-centred therapy. All parts of you are welcomed and accepted, come learn to live for your own goals instead of other people's expectation.
This will take work and courage on your part, and I hold confidentiality in the highest regard with my practice.
10 initial sessions are recommended for consistancy and progress tracking, but can be adjusted if needed.
Coping exercices and techniques can also be explored upon request.
Through working with me you will come to accept yourself more fully, find motivation towards the next you, be more assured of your own values, unlearn negative habits and develop healthy life structures.

Mati Ma will keep brief records of each session. These records are the sole responsibility and ownership of the counsellor.
Under the Data Protection Act (2018) you have the right to see written or electronic records about yourself and this can be arranged by appointment. You also have the right to request I remove data about you from my system.
Client information is stored according to GDPR and PIPEDA policies. I have regular supervision from an independent supervisor. This protects both you the client and me the counsellor to ensure service quality.
Confidentiality is guaranteed except in situations of immediate risk of serious harm, in which case we will discuss about contacting other agencies for help to ensure everyone's safety.
